In order for the FORMULATOR to successfully dispense reagents of varying viscosities, it is imperative that stocks are ordered in a specific manner in the dispense list. More viscous reagents must be placed earlier in the list, and the final item on the dispense list must be a reagent of normal liquid class. The reason for this is that the FORMULATOR can not build enough pressure to successfully dispense viscous liquids without pushing a normal liquid through the chip afterwards.
You can set the FORMULATOR software to automatically reorder dispense lists by going to the Tools menu and selecting Options, then clicking on the Dispense tab and checking the box next to Enable auto sort on loading.
Reordering the Dispense List
To reorder a working dispense list, right-click on any reagent and select Re-sort.
