UV Imaging

The UV camera is a black and white 1.4 megapixels charge-coupled device (CCD) camera, enabling you to quickly distinguish between protein and salt crystals.

When viewing with UV, you can use the 'Overlay' option in the UV image control panel to superimpose the UV image on top of the visible light image, in order to help pinpoint which crystals are protein. Other camera and optics settings can also be manipulated through the UV camera controls.
