Chip Overview

Each filter chip consists of the following components:

Chip Membrane: The filtering element of the chip that separates the liquid into sample (retentate) and carrier reagent (permeate).

Chip Diaphragm: Functions to pump, as well as opening and closing the valves to direct the flow of liquid.

Chip Type Barcode: Identifies the type of chip.

Liquid Port: Seals to the transfer tubing to connect the liquid(s) to the chip.

Air Port: Channels that allow air to flow into the chip, actuating the diaphragm to control the movement of liquid.

Alignment Notch: Ensures correct chip positioning during installation, preventing it from being installed incorrectly.

Housing: The outer structure of the chip encapsulates and protects the internal components.

Fastener: Used to secure the integrity of the chip.
