From the Explorer, right-click the Projects folder (or a folder within the Projects folder) and select New Project.
OR
Select a folder, then click the New Project button 
on the Home ribbon.
Rename the project by typing over the default name. A common practice is to give the project a name that indicates the protein that will be involved in the experiment.
Use the following table as a guide for entering information about the new project:
| Field | Description |

| Date Created | ROCK MAKER automatically assigns the date and time you created the project. You may not edit this field. |
| Owner | Click this box to select the person responsible for the project. This list contains all people who are set up as users of ROCK MAKER. For more information, see User Setup. |
| Imaging Schedule | Select a global schedule from this list. The imaging schedule you select will be assigned by default to all experiments you create under this project. Imaging schedules may be customized at the experiment level. Global imaging schedules are defined in Imaging setup. For more information, see Image Scheduling. |
| Notes | In this box you may type any project-related notes. |
Click the Save button
to save your changes, or press Ctrl+S on your keyboard.
