Creating a Protein Type

Create a protein type to have your own custom protein type that can be used in a protein formulation. This feature defines the options in the Type field in the Protein Formulation tab.

To create a protein type:

1. Open the Setup menu and click the Ingredients submenu.

2. Click the Protein Type button on the top bar.

3. In the Protein Type dialog box, click and enter the protein type’s name in the new field under the Protein Type column. Then, click the green checkmark button in the corresponding field.

   Note

   • To edit a protein type, click Edit in the corresponding column. Any changes made are reflected in all protein formulations using the protein type.

     Important

     You cannot edit multiple protein types simultaneously.

   • To delete a protein type, click a checkbox next to the protein(s) of interest and click at the bottom of the Protein Type dialog box. You cannot delete any protein types that are being used in any experiment.

   If everything is set, click the SAVE button.
