Starting Up and Shutting Down the TEMPEST Hardware

 

To power on TEMPEST and start the software:

  1. Connect the TEMPEST to a power outlet using the power cable and to a PC with the USB cable.

  2. Find the power switch located at the back of the TEMPEST and turn it on.

  3. Double-click the TEMPEST software icon to start the software. It will take a few moments for the TEMPEST software to load while the TEMPEST initializes. The three indicator boxes on the software’s status bar will turn green when ready.

 

To close the TEMPEST software and power off the hardware:

  1. Ensure that you have saved your work and close the TEMPEST software on your computer.

  2. Find the power switch located at the back of the TEMPEST and turn it off.

  3. Disconnect the power cable from the power outlet.
