Manual License Activation

Manual license activation is necessary when your TEMPEST control computer does not have Internet access and cannot connect to the FORMULATRIX server.

Prerequisites

• The TEMPEST instrument is connected to your computer.
• You have a software license for TEMPEST.

To Activate or Reactivate the License:

1. Go to Help menu and select Licensing.

2. If you do not already have a license file from FORMULATRIX support, click the Request License button under Manual Activation. Then, the identifying information from your TEMPEST system will be automatically copied to your computer's clipboard. Paste this information into an email to licensing@formulatrix.com and FORMULATRIX support will send your license file.

3. After you have received the license file, save it somewhere easy to find, such as the Desktop. Note that if the license is in .ZIP format, you will need to unpack it to produce the .XML file.
   

4. In the TEMPEST software, go to the Help menu and select Licensing. Then, click the Activate button under the Manual Activation.
5. Locate the license file and click Open. Please wait for a moment while TEMPEST activates your license.
6. Congratulations! your TEMPEST license has successfully been activated. Click OK to restart the software.
