When you dispense a design with the FORMULATOR, you must first set up the reagent bottles and then set up the software.
Before running a dispense, it is recommended that you change the wash options so that the FORMULATOR will automatically run an external (nozzle) wash and an ingredient (input) wash after a dispense.
Note: You may not want to wash the inputs after a dispense if you intend to dispense several plates with the same design.
You have defined the microplate definition.
The actual plate is well-matched with the plate definition in the dispensed list.
You have enough water supply in the tank.
Place the plate in the FORMULATOR's plate holder.
Place your reagent bottles in the bottle inputs on the FORMULATOR.
Design the dispense in the software.

If you are using a pre-made dispense list, go to the File menu, point to Open, and then select Dispense List, navigate to your dispense list, and click Open.
If you are not using barcode labels, drag the reagents on the Dispense List to their locations on the Inputs grid.
Tell the FORMULATOR to dispense your plate: Go to the Device menu and select Run.
Note: You may wish to leave commonly used reagents attached to the FORMULATOR.
