Creating and Using Reagent Configurations

A Reagent Configuration enables you to save, load, and modify the hardware setup for each of your reagents. This configuration contains all of the reagent settings and information that you might need for any future dispense process.

 

To create and use a reagent configuration:

  1. In the Input Control Panel, type a reagent name in the Reagent Name box.

    OR

    You can drag and drop the reagent to each reagent input from the dispense list. See Designing a Dispense.

  2. Choose one of the options below:

  3. Select the Input Source Type, either Tube or Pipette Tip.

    Note: If you are using the All Input Settings window, please locate your input number carefully before proceeding to the next step.

  4. Select the Chip Type accordingly: Low Volume, High Volume, High Volume PFE, Low Volume PFE, High Volume 3PFE, Low Volume 3PFE, or High Volume Continuous Flow chip.

  5. Type the Prime Volume (optional), Pre-Dispense Volume, Recovery Volume, and the wash volume if you enable the Wash Step(s) option. See Default Volume and Tubing Length Recommendation.

  6. When you have finished, click OK.

  7. Go to the File menu, point to Reagent Configuration, and then select Save.

    Note: Click Save As if you want to save an existing reagent configuration to a different file name and/or directory.

  8. Browse the file directory where you want to save your files.

  9. Type a name for the reagent configuration in the File Name box and click Save.

  10. To load the reagent configuration in the future, go to the File menu, point to the Reagent Configuration menu, and then select Load.

  11. If you do not find your reagent configuration files, click the Browse button next to the Current Path box and locate your reagent configuration files.

  12. Select the reagent configuration from the list in the Select Reagent Configuration box.

  13. Click OK if you want to load the reagent configuration.
