Initial Login to Access the User Management Feature

If you installed the MANTIS software version 4.7.4 or newer for the first time, you will be signed in as an administrator. This role allows you to manage the other users and grant them access to different features of the software. Initially, MANTIS provides you with the default Username and Password to allow you to login and manage your profile.

Follow the instructions below to login as an administrator for the first time.

 

Prerequisites:

 

To log in as administrator:

  1. Go to Options under the Tools menu, and select the Advanced Options tab.

  2. Scroll down to the Security setting, set the User Control to Enable, and then click OK.

  3. A pop-up dialog will appear and prompt you to login as an administrator. Click Close to proceed.

    Tip: Click the User Help File button to access the related instructions in the helpfile.

  4. Login using the default username and password below and then click Log In.

  5. At this stage MANTIS will ask you to change the default password with your own password. Click OK to proceed.

  6. Change the default password with the new one in the provided fields. Then, click OK when you’re done.

  7. Congratulations! You have successfully logged in as an administrator. Now, you can access the User Management feature as needed.
