MANTIS Smart Detection Sensor System

The Drop Detection or QC station feature is an optional upgrade to enable an auto-priming process where the reagent is continuously primed into the Waste Station until a defined number of drops are seen leaving the chip. Activating this feature will remove the risks of under or over-priming.

The Breach Detection sensor is located above the solenoid bank inside the MANTIS instrument. It detects accidental liquid flow in the pressure/vacuum Air Ribbon to prevent the liquid from entering the pneumatic system.

If the sensor detects a breach, a notification will appear to indicate that the system gives pressure to purge the liquid out of the Air Ribbon to the chip changer position through the chip or MANTIS hand.
