Before you can define screen lots that you have purchased, or that you plan to dispense yourself, you must set up a screen experiment that describes the conditions used to create the screen lot.
Right-click a project on the Explorer, or a folder within a project, and select New Screen.
OR
Select the project folder in the Explorer that you want to create the screen in, and then click the New Screen button on the Home ribbon.
Give the screen a descriptive name by typing over the default name on the explorer.
Define conditions for the screen using any of the following methods:
- On the Canvas tab, define conditions by adding grid layers, condition list layers or random layers.
- Import conditions from an .XML file or text file.
You can export a screen as an .XML file so that you can share it with others.
Note: When you export to an .XML format, each ingredient's stocks are also exported. This eliminates the need to add ingredients whenever you import the file into a version of ROCK MAKER that does not include all of the ingredients used in the screen. This .XML template provided for use in ROCK MAKER is an open format available to anyone who wishes to use it for development purposes.
Right-click a screen on the Explorer and select Export to XML Screen.
In the Export to File dialog box, navigate to the folder in which you want to save the file.
In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
Click Save. The screen will be saved in the selected format. The exported file may be imported back into ROCK MAKER.
ROCK MAKER is able to export a screen or experiment as an .XML file in Crystal Track format.
When you export to Crystal Track .XML format, each ingredient in each well will be exported as ‘Items’ in the .XML file. Unique ingredients used in the screen conditions are also stored in the .XML file as ‘Chemicals’. This eliminates the need to add ingredients whenever you import the file into a version of Crystal Track that does not include all of the ingredients used in the screen.
Enable Crystal Track integration from System Properties.
Right-click a screen on the tree and select Export to Crystal Track.
In the Export to File dialog box, navigate to the folder in which you want to save the file.
In the File Name box, type a name for the file.
Click Save. The screen is saved in Crystal Track .XML format and a confirmation message is displayed.
