Software Update and Licensing

F.A.S.T. is constantly improving, so you can now enjoy the latest features by updating your software. Contact our team at support@formulatrix.com to get your latest software update.

 

Prerequisites:

• You have the latest version of the software package.
• You have removed all labware from the tray.

 

To update the software:

1. Log in to the FAST software (fa1000xx.5002) as Administrator.

2. On the Side Menu, select About.

3. Click the UPDATE SOFTWARE button.

4. When a pop-up message appears, click the UPLOAD FILE button.

5. Select the file from your storage device and wait for the system to upload it.

6. Click the UPDATE button when the system has finished uploading the file and please wait for the system to update the software..

    

   Important: Do not turn off the instrument when the system is updating the software.

7. Once the software update is finished, click the REFRESH button to reconnect with the updated system.

8. The instrument will automatically restart. Please wait until the Power button LED turns green to use the software.

For full access to the instrument, you need to update your license after using a temporary license.

• Permanent: This license provides perpetual access to your instrument. It allows you to use the software indefinitely with all features included in your edition. All instrument purchases include one year of free software upgrades.

To update the license:

1. Select from the following options:

   • Click the ACTIVATE NOW button when the Demo Only message appears.

     OR

   • Click the Side Menu and select About.

2. Select the License Activation option. Then, click the UPLOAD FILE button and select a license from your storage device.

3. Click the ACTIVATE button.

Beta Version:

How to update software via Software Update Link:

1. Right click on the Stable Version option, then open the link in a new tab or window. The software will be downloaded automatically.

2. Login to the F.A.S.T. software, click the Side Menu, then select the About option.

3. In the About page, click the UPDATE SOFTWARE button.

4. Click the UPLOAD FILE button, then select the downloaded software package from your drive and click Open.

5. Wait for the system to load the software package and follow the steps until the software successfully updated.
