The User Management feature keeps multiple users in your lab more organized, as each user will have their own protocol configuration, user name, and password. User management and access to protocol configuration in FLO i8 can be controlled by assigning user’s role to the User Management feature.
There are two types of user accounts available in FLO i8:
Administrator — Besides creating and running protocols, an administrator can also manage and set up accounts for all FLO i8 users through the User Management menu. Administrator can add, edit, or remove user. See the explanation as follows:
User Management Page
Regular User — A regular user can only be created by the administrator. As a regular user, you can create, modify, and run protocols. FLO i8 software can be accessed in more than one computer, so users can design their protocols at the same time. For more information, see Getting Started with FLO i8.
Important: You cannot execute protocols from multiple users at the same time. The following message will appear to inform you if the FLO i8 system is busy or being used by another user for running protocols.
