Software Overview

The µPULSE - TFF System control software is made up of six menus, a WIFI SETTINGS button, and a Shutdown button.

Menu/Button Description - What To Do
WIFI SETTINGS BUTTON

Tap the WIFI SETTINGS button to activate the WIFI connection and connect to a network. You can now monitor your µPULSE status remotely from an external device.
SHUTDOWN BUTTON

Tap the SHUTDOWN button to shutdown the instrument. Please make sure that all of the tubes are properly closed.
AUTO PROFILE

The AUTO PROFILE menu allows you to create and run a profile, as well as set up advanced settings that you can save and re-use for future use. Tap AUTO PROFILE to display the AUTO PROFILE window and see more options from the menu. To find out more, see Creating a Profile.

MANUAL PROFILE

In MANUAL PROFILE, you can create your own sequence based on the cycle count or cycle time (in minutes), without having to first create a profile. For more information, see Creating a Sequence in MANUAL PROFILE.

CLEANING WIZARD

The CLEANING WIZARD menu provides you with an on screen tutorial to clean the µPULSE liquid tubing and filter chip. Tap the START button to start the cleaning process. For more information, see Cleaning Chips and Tubing.

PROFILE HISTORY

The PROFILE HISTORY menu provides the history of all profiles that you have run, including the auto profile and manual profile. You can export a log file for each profile, which includes times, pressures, volumes, and sequences. See Downloading a Cycle History for more information.

SYSTEM SETTINGS

The SYSTEM SETTINGS menu consists of six sections:

  • DEVICE SETTINGS — Contains configurations related to the µPULSE instrument such as Device Name, Organization name, and Device Date and Time settings.

  • DISPLAY SETTINGS — You can configure the font size in the DISPLAY SETTINGS tab.

  • PRESSURE SETTINGS — Allows you to change default values for pumping parameters for all default settings used in AUTO PROFILE.

  • THRESHOLD SETTINGS — Allows you to change default values for volume change threshold parameters for all default settings used in AUTO PROFILE

  • CALIBRATION WIZARD — You can calibrate the volume sensor by tapping the CALIBRATION WIZARD tab.

  • WIFI SETTINGS — You can connect to a WiFi network and monitor the µPULSE status remotely using your external device.

INFO & SUPPORT

In the INFO AND SUPPORT menu you can view information such as:

  • Device Serial Number — Shows the serial number of the µPULSE instrument.

  • Firmware Version — Shows the firmware version.

  • Software Version — Shows the software version. This information is used by support.

  • Build Date — Shows the exact date of th e µPULSE software release.

  • Host Name — Shows the host name.

  • IP Address — Type the IP address into the address bar of your browser to monitor the concentration progress on your external device.

  • License Status — Shows the status of the license whether it is Activated or Not Activated.

  • License Type — Shows the current license, whether it is Temporary or Permanent.

  • License Modified Date — Shows the date when the license was last modified.

  • License Expired Date — Shows the expiration date of the license.

  • Client ID — Shows the client's identification.

  • UPDATE — Tap the UPDATE button to update the µPULSE software if a new version is available.

  • QR Code — Scan the QR Code from your smartphone or tablet to monitor the µPULSE from your device.

  • ACTIVATE — Tap the ACTIVATE button to activate the license.

  • Contact — Shows the FORMULATRIX contact information.
