Recovering Excess Reagent Volume

The reagent recovery process forces reagent that is inside the chip back into the input tube connected to the chip. Run Reagent Recovery when you want to conserve reagent volume.

Prerequisites

You have executed a plate dispense.
You are using an input tube as the input type and NOT a pipette tip.

To recover reagent volume from all inputs:

Click the Recover All button .

To recover reagent volume from individual inputs:

Click one or more chips in the Input Control Panel. To select multiple reagents, press and hold the Ctrl key while selecting chips.
Click the Recover Selected button .

Important: You must wash the chips after each use; please see Washing the TEMPEST Chips for further details.
