[ROCK MAKER Integration] Fragment Screen Dispensing

Starting from version 4.14, NT8 allows you to dispense experiments with fragment screens designed in ROCK MAKER.

Prerequisites:

  • You are running ROCK MAKER version 4.11 or newer.

  • You have an experiment with at least 1 fragment screen designed in ROCK MAKER. Otherwise, create one by referring to Creating a Fragment Screen.

    Important

Select one of the options except No Fragment from the NT8: Fragment Layer Protocol dropdown in the Dispensing section of the Info menu of your experiment page. Selecting No Fragment prevents NT8 from detecting your fragment screen.

To dispense a fragment screen:

  1. Go to the RM Integration mode.

  2. Choose a plate station for the experiment plate (the following example uses Plate Station 1) and enter the experiment barcode number or scan it with a barcode scanner (if it is available). If the plate is not defined in the Plate Type Library, a Warning dialog box appears. To proceed, click the Continue button in the dialog box.

  3. Click the plate station where the fragment screen source plate is placed (highlighted in red). The example below uses Plate Station 2 as the fragment screen source plate. Then, select a plate type.

    Note

Each fragment screen experiment requires its own fragment screen source plate. If you upload multiple fragment screens—in one or multiple experiments—you must assign one fragment screen source plate per fragment screen experiment.

  4. On the Checklist tab, tick the checkbox to view the instructions that guide you to physically prepare your labware. You can modify the instructions if necessary. Read Checklist Tab for more information.
