Warehouse Management Overview
TIGA provides an integrated warehouse management system between the CRM and Bonded Zone applications. The warehouse team and authorized users are responsible for all warehouse management activities, including:
Storing and organizing items in the appropriate warehouses and bins.
Tracking inventory levels to ensure stock is accurately recorded.
Adjusting inventory when items are moved between warehouses or when stock discrepancies arise.
Supporting the movement of items between Formulatrix locations or to customers as part of the sales and support process.
The Warehouses table facilitates all the warehouse management activities in the Formulatrix warehouses. Within each warehouse, items are stored in bins, containers with a small handleable size to help the teams find items more easily. Physical bins are labeled and represented in TIGA via the Bins table. Using bins helps keep all inventory organized, making the retrieval and movement of items within and between warehouses more efficient. Currently, Formulatrix has several warehouses located in different countries, including Indonesia, the USA, the UK, and other locations.
Warehouse Categories
At Formulatrix, there are multiple types of warehouse with different functions:
Category |
Description |
---|---|
Formulatrix |
The main warehouse category, primarily used for managing general storage and inventory management for production, support, or engineering activities. |
FSE |
The Field Service Engineers (FSE) warehouse functions more like a personal storage area for the FSE. Each FSE can store and manage their tools, spare parts, and consumables needed for replacements, installations, troubleshooting, and customer support visits. This warehouse ensures that the FSE are equipped with the necessary items to perform tasks efficiently on-site. |
Engineer |
Specific warehouses for Product Managers and FUSA Engineers for engineering purposes. It ensures that they have quick access to the needed parts for product testing and improvements. |
Account |
A warehouse linked to customer accounts to handle shipments to customer locations. |
Finished Goods |
A warehouse dedicated to store completed products that are ready to be shipped to customers or other warehouse locations. Note The finished goods warehouse only exists in the Indonesia offices. These goods are excluded from the work order line items stock calculation. |
Scrap |
The scrap warehouse is used to store items that are no longer useful and to handle items moved from a bonded zone (PRO or PSL) to non-bonded areas. “Scrap” items stored here are leftover materials from production for local sales, unusable items, and functional items for returns to vendors or intercompany orders. Note
|
Subcont |
The warehouse stores materials for subcontracting processes sent from bonded zones (PRO and PSL). Subcontracting means assigning part of the work to FOR, our internal vendor, for additional manufacturing steps or specialized services. After these processes are completed, the materials will be returned to the initial requester. |
