Subcontract Overview

Subcontracting occurs when specific manufacturing tasks must be outsourced to a vendor, such as coating, welding, and calibration, especially when they cannot be handled internally due to limited resources or capability. To address this, Formulatrix (Promanufacture Salatiga and Promanufacture) outsources these tasks to PT Formulatrix Indonesia (FOI) as an internal subcontract vendor or to designated external vendors.

TIGA follows a structured subcontracting process to legally move materials from the company to the vendor for processing. This ensures that the movement of goods is documented, approved, and traceable, maintaining compliance with all customs regulations. Once processing is complete, the final parts are returned to their original warehouse location.

Subcontract Process

The subcontract process is completed in two phases.

Note

The complete subcontract process in TIGA is specifically designed for FOI (Formulatrix Indonesia). If the vendor is external, the process only continues up to the SKEP generation.

  • SKEP Generation

This phase involves preparing the necessary data as requested and generating the official SKEP (Customs Declaration or Surat KEPutusan). The purpose of this document is to obtain legal approval from customs to move goods outside bonded zones for subcontracting. For detailed information about SKEP and how to generate SKEP, please refer to SKEP Generation.

  • Subcontract Transaction

This phase handles the movement of materials from the company to the vendor and back after receiving customs approval. The materials are first moved to the Subcont warehouse and then shipped out to the vendor. After the vendor confirms receipt and completes the assigned tasks, the finished parts are prepared for return. The final step is receiving the finished parts at the company warehouse, marking the process as Fulfilled.
