Patents

Formulatrix patents its products to protect its intellectual properties from unauthorized production, reproduction, and trading. TIGA features the Patents table in the CRM application to keep products’ patent records. Patents are later uploaded into Formulatrix website.

Important

Only the Product Managers can create or edit a record in the Patents table. They are responsible for monitoring the validity period of their products’ patents.

Read the description of each field in the Patents table below.

Field Name	Description
Patent Number	Identifier assigned by a patent office.
Status	Patent’s state. You can select one of the following: Granted : The patent application is accepted. Pending : The patent application is in progress. Abandoned : The patent application fails.
File Date	Initial submission date of a patent application.
Granted Date	Patent’s issue date.
Expiration Date	Patent’s end date.
Make Public on Website	Website publication. Check this box to display this record on the Formulatrix website.
Product	Product’s name.
Item ID	Six-digit number ID and a letter showing the version used to identify an Item in the Items list.
Item Description	Information related to the item.

Note

Clicking the Make Public on Website will publish patents on https://formulatrix.com/patents/ on a daily basis on FUSA mornings.
