Verifying Customers’ eStore Accounts

Once customers have successfully created an eStore account, TIGA will search for the customers’ valid accounts in the Contacts table. If it is not found, TIGA will notify the eStore administrators via email to verify these users by linking them to valid accounts. Verifying an account as soon as possible is imperative to process sales orders.

The following conditions require the eStore administrator group to verify the registered account:

  1. TIGA finds that a registered account has no data in the Contact table, so TIGA will link it to the WooCommerce account.

  2. TIGA finds that a registered account only has a link to a valid Institute but not an Account.

Prerequisites:

  • You are an eStore administrator.

To verify a customer’s eStore account:

  1. Click the Check the contact here in the email.

    Within the CRM application, open the Contacts table and select the registered customer’s record.

    An unverified eStore account will have Woocommerce_Account in the Account field.

    Tip

    Filter the Contacts using the Account column and search for “WooCommerce”.

  2. Edit the unverified account by clicking the pencil button PencilButton.

  3. Locate the Account field in the Edit Contacts window and click the blue ellipsis button BlueEllipsisButton to open the Link To Single Accounts window.

  4. Select one of the accounts in the list to link to the unverified Contact. To decide which valid account to link to, check the sales order or contact the customer via email. Updating the Account field will automatically update the Institute Name field and Primary Address Information section.

  5. Complete all required information in the Edit Contacts window.

  6. Click Update.

Post Conditions

  • TIGA will update a verified customer’s contact information. A verified account will have a valid contact instead of WooCommerce in the Account field.

  • TIGA will synchronize the Account information with the eStore on update. It will enable the store to determine tax exemptions.
