The Media Warmer Parts Overview

One of the many ways Cellmatic maintains cell health is by warming reagents and media to a safe 32°C before they come into contact with cells. When Cellmatic Suite initiates a protocol (media exchange, plating, or pooling) a Rover picks up a reagent reservoir from the Refrigerator and delivers it to one of two Media Warmers located on the second floor of Instrument Cabinet 1.

The Media Warmer then uses its infra-red lamp to gently and quickly warm the reagent, taking approximately 3.5 minutes for a reservoir with 50 mL. The two Media Warmers together provide sufficient capacity for simultaneous handling of multiple protocols and cell lines.
