Refilling FLO Cleaning Solution Bottle

Refilling the FLO cleaning solution bottle uses a quick-swap technique.

Caution

The FLO Reagent Storage is in a separate partition from the main compartment of Instrument Cabinet 2. Opening this compartment does not pose a contamination threat to the main compartment, as long as you:

• Wear PPE. At a minimum, gloves should be worn.

• Make sure the FLO is in an idle state during the process.

The FLO Reagent Storage Door

Required Items:

• 1 ea - 2 L Duran Bottle containing H2O2 or cleaning solution

• 1 ea - Formulatrix Customized Cap

• 1 ea - 70% Ethanol Spray

A Customized Cap for the FLO Cleaning Solution Bottle

Prerequisite:

• The Duran bottle is closed with a Formulatrix customized cap.

To refill the FLO cleaning solution bottle:

1. Open the FLO Reagent Storage door.

   1. Turn the door handle on the waste disposal door counterclockwise to unlock the door.

   2. Gently pull the door handle to open the door. Make sure the door is fully open to prevent the sliding shelf from getting stuck when pulled out.

2. Pull the chute handle to access the FLO cleaning solution bottle.

3. Replace the old cleaning solution bottle with the new one.

   1. Remove the silicone plug from the new bottle.

   2. Loosen and disconnect the dispensing tube from the old bottle and connect it to the new bottle’s open port promptly. Make sure the tube is connected properly.

   3. Swap the old bottle with the new one.

4. Once the refilling is complete, close the FLO Reagent Storage door.

   1. Push the chute handle. Make sure the cables and tubes don’t get stuck in the way.

   2. Gently close the door.

   3. Turn the door handle clockwise to lock the door.
