Cellmatic System Power Outage

If a power outage occurs and the Incubator contains plates with cells:

  1. Do not open the Incubator door.

    This helps maintain internal temperature and CO₂ levels for as long as possible.

  2. Check for backup power.

    Confirm whether the Incubator is connected to a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) or backup generator. If not, proceed to the next step quickly.

  3. Transfer plates if needed.

    If power is not restored within 15–30 minutes, move the plates to another working Incubator to prevent temperature or CO₂ drop from affecting the cells. Prioritize sensitive cultures.

    Important

    Turn off the Incubator power switch before opening the door.

  4. Inspect cells after power is restored.

    Once conditions stabilize, check the plates for any signs of stress or contamination. Note any changes.
