Transferring Items to a Different Warehouse

TIGA enables you to quickly transfer parts between different support warehouses. Using the Transfer Item (Support Only) feature, you can easily transfer parts between warehouse locations, without having to make new transaction records or change the status of the part in TIGA.

Prerequisites

  • You are a member of the support team.

To transfer parts to a different warehouse:

  1. From the CRM application, click Item Inventories on the table bar. If Item Inventories does not appear on the table bar, click the Plus button at the far-right of the table bar, and select Item Inventories.

  2. Under the main table, select the desired record and find the part that you want to move.

  3. On the Actions menu, click Warehouse Transfer.

  4. In the From Warehouse field, type and select the storage location where the parts are stored. TIGA will display the Current Quantity (From Storage) in the selected storage location.

  5. In the To Warehouse, type and select a new warehouse location for your parts.

  6. In the Transfer Quantity field, type the number of parts that you want to move. The parts quantity cannot exceed the number of available parts in the From Storage location.

  7. In the lower-right corner of the Warehouse Transfer window, click Process.

Post Conditions

After you use the Transfer Item (Support Only) command, the necessary Adjustment Move In and Adjustment Move Out transactions are automatically created in TIGA. TIGA will also send a notification email to the specified warehouse owner.
