Changing the Status of a Record
Some records in TIGA contain a Status field which informs the user about its current state through some process. An example process is one that takes a quote from Draft to Submitted to Approved, among other states. These statuses answer questions like: What’s happening? What’s the next step? Who is responsible for the next step?
To update the status of a record, open the record and click the edit icon or click the new Status Drop-Down button, as shown below. This drop-down displays the current status and restricts your choices to the valid next statuses. Selecting a new status will update the record accordingly.
A status change sometimes triggers a pop-up that gives the user a chance to confirm or reject that change. Also, some email notifications include buttons that directly change the status of a record.
