Setting Minimum Stock Quantities

If the lead time for receiving a part exceeds the time when it is needed, it could cause disruptions in the production, support, or engineering activities. Minimum stock quantities ensure that Formulatrix warehouses maintain an appropriate number of items and parts to avoid such disruptions.

The Product, Production, and Support managers are allowed to enter the minimum quantity for an item in the Minimum Stock field of the Item Inventories table. TIGA then checks that item quantity every Friday.

In Stock and Minimum Stock Fields

If the quantities in the In Stock field are less than the Minimum Stock field, TIGA sends a notification email to the PIC and Support Manager. The PIC is then responsible for restocking the items.
