Using Scan Barcode Receiving

Once the requested goods arrive, the warehouse team arranges them among different locations or bins within the warehouse. TIGA tracks what items are in what locations so that they can be picked up quickly when they want to pass those parts forwards. Use the Scan Barcode feature to start this process.

Prerequisites:

  • You have created a TALI.

  • All the TALI status in the Status box should be Unconfirmed.

To use scan barcode receiving:

  1. Open the Transactions table.

  2. Under the Main Table, select the desired transaction record.

  3. Click Transaction Line Items under the Related Tables on the right, click the Actions menu, then click Scan Barcode.

  4. In the Scan Barcode Receiving window, type or select the appropriate information for the following fields:

    • Scan By — Select either the Item ID option or the Engineering Part Number (Eng. PN) option. The Item ID option is only applicable to a record that already has a unique Item ID.

    • Item ID — Type the item ID or scan the item’s barcode. This field is enabled only if the Item ID option is selected.

    • Barcode LabelEng. PN is the default Print Label. Select the Eng. PN option if you’re receiving an item from a vendor. Select the Item ID option if you’re receiving an internal item sent from FUSA to FORINDO.

    • Engineering PN — Type the specific engineering part number. This field is enabled only if the Eng PN option is selected.

    • Quantity — Type the actual items quantity.

    • Storage — Type the name of the storage where you will store the item(s).

      If you are receiving  Engineering priority PO, you should choose the correct engineering storage bins.

  5. Press Enter on your keyboard. The Issuance Line Items table displays the item transaction information.

  6. Print the barcode number. The barcode number will be used to identify a specific good that has been received and recorded.

  7. Affix the barcode to the item.

  8. Click the Analyze to display the items information. At this point you can make sure all the item’s information is correct.

  9. Click Submit.

At this point, TALI status will be automatically changed to Confirmed.
