Adding New Items

If you have new items or parts for production, you should add them to the application database so that they are properly registered.


To add a new item:

  1. Open the Items table.

  2. Click the Plus button at the top-left of the screen to open the Create New Items window.

  3. In the Create New Items window, type or select the appropriate information for the following fields:

    • Item ID — Type the specific item ID.

    • Item Description — Type a short description of the item or part.

    • Manufacturer — Type the item’s manufacturer name.

    • Engineering Part Number — Type the item’s engineering part number (if any).

    • Is End Sub Assembly — Ignore this field.

    • Is Disabled — If checked, it will not be able for new transaction.

    • Category — Select the item category that it is supposed to be.

    • Bonded Zone Category — Select the item specific bonded zone category.

    • UoM — Select the unit of measurement for the item.

    • Cost — Type the currency type into the first box on the left and type the item’s pricing information into the second box on the right.

  4. When done, click Create in the lower-right corner of the Create New Items window.

At this point a new item has been successfully added to the application data base. If you need to use or restock the item, you may need to create a new work order (WO) and create a new purchase order (PO).
