Adding a Tag and Printing a Plate Barcode Label

Once you finish designing a plate, the next step is to add tags to your plate label and print a barcode label to affix to the plate.

Prerequisite:

  • The print barcode in your ROCK MAKER has been configured; otherwise, contact your administrator or support@formulatrix.com

Adding a Tag to a Plate Label

ROCK MAKER comes with the following tags to include in a barcode label.

Tags for Experiment Label

Tags for Screen-related Label

UserInitials, DispenseDate, CreationDate, TodayDate, ExperimentPlateNumber, ExperimentPlateID, SetupTemperature, IncubationTemperature, PlateNumber, PlateID, ExperimentID, ProjectName, ExperimentName

ScreenLotPlateID, ScreenLotNumber, ScreenLotName, ScreenLotID

By default, ROCK MAKER includes some of the above tags in your plate label, which administrators can modify. To add more tags to the label, contact your administrator.

Printing a Plate Barcode Label

To print a plate barcode label:

  1. Click an experiment or a screen.

  2. On the Administrative Tools bar, click the Print button. The barcode label will then be printed on your configured printer.
