Using Mouse Commands and Keyboard Shortcuts

You can use mouse commands and keyboard shortcuts to make your work with ROCK MAKER easier.

Mouse Commands

  • Left-click

    The left button of your mouse is vital for commands in ROCK MAKER, such as opening a folder, project, or experiment. A single left click is applicable for most commands, including selecting all wells in a layer creation and dragging and dropping conditions in the custom layer.

Keyboard Shortcuts

A quick way to access many commands in ROCK MAKER v4 is by using keyboard shortcuts, which typically consist of one or two keystrokes.

The following are explanations of the most common shortcuts available in ROCK MAKER.

Shortcut

Description

Ctrl+C

Allows you to copy items on the experiment page, such as:

  • A well condition

  • A layer condition

  • A text in a field

Note

Use the Paste button on the top bar or press Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste the copied items.

Ctrl+Z

Allows you to undo the last action you perform on the experiment page.

Ctrl+Y

Allows you to redo an action on the experiment page.

Ctrl+click

Allows you to select multiple wells or images on the experiment page.

F5

Allows you to reload the open ROCK MAKER tab.

Ctrl+plus sign

Allows you to zoom in the view.

Ctrl+minus sign

Allows you to zoom out the view.

Ctrl+scrolling the mouse wheel up or down

Allows you to zoom in and zoom out the view subsequently.

Ctrl+O

Allows you to open an external file.

Ctrl+Tab

Allows you to move to another tab when you open multiple tabs.

Right, left, up, and down arrow keys

Allows you to move to a corresponding well.

Ctrl+F4

Allows you to close the tab you open.
