Modifying a Plate Label Tag

ROCK MAKER comes with a set of tags you can include in a barcode label. As an administrator, you can set which tags and how many lines (up to 6) to include based on the needs and available space on the label.

To modify a plate label tag:

  1. Open the Settings menu and the Global Preferences submenu will open by default. Then, click the Label Printing section.

  2. Insert the desired tags inside curly brackets in the Print Label fields —e.g., {ExperimentPlateNumber}. By default, ROCK MAKER fills up three lines to get you started.

Note

You can also change the order of the tags in your plate label by moving them to the desired line. For example, a project name can appear in Line 3, after an experiment name, instead of Line 2.

Below are examples of plate labels and what each tag in every line represents. A plate label for an experiment and a screen commonly consists of three lines.
