Moving Parts to Different Storage

TIGA enables you to quickly organize the parts stored in the warehouse. Using the Move Part to Different Storage feature, you can easily move parts between storage locations, without having to make new transaction records or change the status of the part in TIGA. When you use the Move Part to Different Storage command, the necessary Adjustment Move In and Adjustment Move Out transactions are automatically created in TIGA.


To move parts to different storage:

  1. From the Bonded Zone application, click Storage Inventories on the table bar. If Storage Inventories does not appear on the table bar, click the Plus at the far-right of the table bar, and select Storage Inventories.

  2. Under the main table, select the desired record and find the desired part that you want to move.

  3. On the Actions menu, click Move Part to Different Storage.

  4. In the To Storage field, type the new storage location for your part. The name of the storage location will appear in a dropdown list as you begin to type. If you are moving the part to a storage location that has not been recorded in TIGA yet, you can type a name for your new storage location in the To Storage field and click the Create Storage button that appears below. The new storage location will be recorded in TIGA after you have clicked Process.

  5. In the Quantity to Move field, type the number of parts that you want to move.

  6. In the lower-right corner of the Move Part to Different window, click Process. The necessary Adjustment In and Adjustment Out transaction records will be automatically created in TIGA.
