Image Management¶
The image management function in ROCK MAKER provides an easy way to organize images into various image stores and delete images that you no longer need in order to free up disk space. Images can be moved, copied, or deleted based on image type, score, date imaged, size, and dozens of other parameters.
Image management tasks are defined on the Image Management Tasks screen. To access this screen, on the Explorer, click Imaging, right-click the Image Management folder, and click New Image Management Task.
Each task is made up of one or more actions and each action can involve any one of the following operations:
Move. Moves images from one image store to another.
Copy. Copies images from one image store to another.
Delete. Deletes images from an image store.
For each action you can define criteria called constraints, which determine which images are affected. Each constraint involves a field, an operator and a value. For example, if you wanted to perform an action on all images that have a file size greater than 1,000 kilobytes, you would use the constraint Image.File Size > 1000. For each action, you can define as many constraints as you would like.
In the following examples, we have an image management task that contains three actions. When this task is executed, the actions will be executed in order on the images contained in the project designated by the Preview Search Path.
